Thai Yoga Bodywork, also called Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient form of massage. Said to have been created by a physician named Shivago Komarpaj over 2500 years ago, it has distant roots in Ayurveda (Ancient Indian Medicine). Its modern technique has influence from all over Southeast Asia and was popularized globally when Thailand became a tourist destination during WWII.

Thai Yoga Bodywork is very different from typical western massage. It is performed fully clothed, and involves stretching, thumbing and palming along ‘Sen Lines.’ If you have heard of acupuncture, you may know about the Chinese Meridians. Sen Lines are similar conceptually, but have different cultural roots.

Thai Yoga Bodywork is considered Non-Therapeutic Massage in the state of Ohio. Our practitioner has completed Level 1 of a three part series. She is safe and deeply knowledgable of the human body and anatomy of movement, but will not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
